A must-visit event for international art and design amateurs and collectors, the 23rd Parisian edition of the PAD will take place in the Tuileries Garden, from April 3rd to 7th, 2019.
Born in Paris in 1996, the Pavilion of Arts and Design, called PAD, is today the main fair devoted to contemporary art, design and decorative arts of the twentieth century. It is an international fair, which takes place every year, successively in Paris, London, Geneva or Monaco.
The PAD embodies the way in which modern art, photography, design, decorative arts, tribal art and jewelry can interact to reveal amazing combinations and create very personal and original interiors.
Major international galleries from big cities in Europe, North America and Asia gather to offer a panorama of iconic works from today’s art market. The PAD is more generally a place to discover pieces of museum quality, with a own history. This fair cultivates eclecticism, authenticity and know-how.
For 23 years, the PAD has been trying to discern the aesthetic and plastic aspirations of its time and has been offering an intimate setting for those who make Decorative Arts and Design the center of their passion and / or their collection.
This year, the PAD will grant an important space to the “Arts Premiers”. The fair will offer guided tours based on interesting artistic paths, with a resonance between the works but also between the specialities and the personalities of the merchants. It is therefore a show where can be built and become refined the taste for contemporary art and Decorative Arts of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. The PAD therefore concerns both collectors and lovers of curious eclecticism.
